Photo: Preparing Alianait’s big-top tent for the big weekend

Will Hyndman helps set up June 29 inside Alianait Art Festival’s purple and yellow big-top tent. The Iqaluit festival, which kicks off June 29 with an art exhibit at the Nunatta Sunakkutaangit Museum, also features workshops, concerts, exhibits, and numerous activities and shows throughout the weekend before wrapping up on July 2. The opening concert, featuring Esther Powell & the Roughcuts, Saali, the Jerry Cans, and Ann Vriend, starts at 7 p.m. in Nakasuk School’s gym.
