Sgt. Philippe Drolet-Dion of Canadian Forces’ 35 Brigade Group prepares soldiers’ equipment for  “Guerrier Nordique,” a military exercise taking place outside of Iqaluit, March 1 to 9. The logistics officer will equip 165 fellow reservists from Quebec for ground and air patrols to Kimmirut and along Frobisher Bay. “Tomorrow, they’ll pick up their equipment and prepare for their departure, then they’ll get out in the field,” Drolet-Dion said Feb. 28. Based in Val-Cartier, Quebec, the brigade group usually conducts the Guerrier Nordique exercise  in Northern Quebec. This will be the first one in Nunavut. (PHOTO BY PETER VARGA)
