IDEA hosts all-candidates forum
Should Iqaluit schools receive a lump-sum payment of school taxes dating back to 1999? Are education officials doing enough to address vandalism? Is there too much English being taught in the capital city – or not enough?
Find out what Iqaluit’s next MLAs think about these issues and more during a special forum on education next month.
The Iqaluit District Education Authority is hosting the all-candidates forum. All 11 nominees in the three Iqaluit ridings have been invited to participate in the event, which will take place at 7 p.m. on Feb. 3 at the Anglican parish hall.
Members of the IDEA are soliciting questions from teaching staff and students, and welcome participation by all Iqalungmiut.
Translation will be provided.
