New ADM hired for Human Resources

IQALUIT — Human Resources Minister Kelvin Ng is pleased to announce that Mr. Tom Thompson has accepted the position of Assistant Deputy Minister.

“Mr. Thompson’s extensive experience and understanding of human resource issues is a strong addition to the Department of Human Resources,” Minister Ng said.

“His recent work in staffing, combined with his earlier work in the Kivalliq at different senior management positions, makes him well suited to this position.”

Thompson was hired as ADM following a Nunavut-wide staffing competition. Most recently Thompson was director of staffing for the Department of Human Resources.
