Engine light forces Canadian North flight back to Iqaluit
Jet makes an emergency landing Sept. 29.
A Canadian North jet headed from Iqaluit to Ottawa had to make an emergency landing Sept. 29.
The Aviation Herald reported the 737-200, with 34 passengers on board, had to head back to Iqaluit after an indicator light for the left engine came on. The crew shut down the left engine at 6,000 feet and returned to Iqaluit.
Iqaluit airport manager John Graham said no emergency was declared and the jet’s return didn’t cause any interruption to airport operations.
