2 new COVID-19 cases reported in Coral Harbour
Nunavut has no other active cases across territory

Coral Harbour has two new cases of COVID-19.
The cases were reported Thursday, said Chris Puglia, a spokesperson for Nunavut’s Health Department. The two affected individuals are in isolation.
Puglia would not say whether the cases are connected to each other or a case of COVID-19 reported in the community in late September, citing privacy concerns. He said public health officials are carrying out contact tracing.
The case reported in late September has been resolved, said Puglia.
Coral Harbour has been under special public-health restrictions since Sept. 29 in an effort to restrict the spread of the virus. No more than 25 people are allowed to gather outdoors, while indoor gatherings are limited to five people plus household members.
Food establishments are limited to take-out and taxis drivers are only allowed to take one fare per trip.
Massage therapists, chiropractors and psychologists are allowed to provide services, although hairdressers are closed.
The two cases in Coral Harbour are the only two known active cases of COVID-19 in the territory.
So if there are no other cars in the territory why do we have mask mandates everywhere? Why, especially after being vaccinated, are we asked to mask up in communities no cases?
Is it really such a hardship? Even if someone has covid symptoms but tests negative, they are kept out of school and away from work. For some people, that it can take a couple of weeks for cough and runny nose to stop. The masks and other precautionary measures have been helpful at keeping illness at bay. Not to mention, the fact that children haven’t been able to get vaccines yet.
What say you, chances are much higher that a person who’s been vaxxed initially arrived into community covid- positive rather that a non-vaxxed individual.

I would think it be the same as Kinngait. Makes no sense why the Regions hub has no confirmed case..?
One would think if Kinngait has it. Can only assume Iqaluit has also as after all they had to travel through Iqaluit to get home.
Very likely the same for Rankin Inlet too. Right??
