Father Eric Dejaeger is brought to the Nunavut Court of Justice in an RCMP vehicle Nov. 18 for the beginning of a trial in Iqaluit before Justice Robert Kilpatrick. Dejaeger has pleaded guilty to eight indecent assault charges, but has chosen to go to trial before a judge sitting alone on 69 additional charges, most of them related to the sexual abuse of minors. Crown prosecutors said there are now 39 complainants related to the outstanding charges. This morning began with evidence from witnesses.
