Photo: Iqaluit ghosts and goblins will have to postpone tricks and treats

As a snow storm picks up in southern Baffin Island Oct. 31, the City of Iqaluit has suspended municipal services, including water delivery, sewage management, and garbage and snow removal. Residents are asked to stay off the roads due to reduced visibility, high winds and rapidly deteriorating conditions. “If you are not currently home, we highly recommend you go home and remain there until the severe weather conditions ends,” the city said in a morning release. The Nunavut Court of Justice is also closed as is the Government of Nunavut. The city is advising residents to postpone their plans to take children our trick-or-treating until Wed., Nov. 1.
