Photo: Nunavut artists play benefit for Cape Dorset high school

The Jerry Cans rock out on stage at Sam Pudlat school in Cape Dorset, as part of a benefit they played along with singer/songwriter Charles “Saali” Keelan Nov. 14. The concert was held to raise money to replace performing arts equipment and resources that were lost in the Sept. 6 fire that completely destroyed the secondary school. The show was coordinated by the Kinngait Performing Arts Club along with the National Art Centre’s Music Alive program, which promotes music programming in rural and isolated communities across the country.
