Judy Hayahok is the newest Inuit case worker at Chez Doris, a downtown Montreal women’s day shelter. She took on the Makivvik Corp.-funded position from outgoing case worker Annie Pisuktie last November and continues to build social and support services for the city’s Inuit women in need. Hayahok, who recently arrived in Montreal from Kugluktuk, helped coordinate the shelter’s first camping trip north of Montreal and has begun doing outreach on the city’s streets.
