The City of Iqaluit is seeking expressions of interest for the potential lease of the former Iridium Canada site.

The purpose of the call is to determine whether there is interest in the property and the existing improvements to the property, according to a public service announcement from the city issued on Thursday, May 9.

The site is located past the Arctic Winter Games Complex on the road to Apex.

Improvements made to the site include the main building and four shelter buildings.

Based on the expressions of interest received, the city says a formal call for proposals may be issued in the future.

The expression of interest document is available for download on the city’s website or may be requested by email at lands@city.iqaluit.nu.ca. There is no fee to submit and a form is provided for submission.

For more information, contact the city at lands@city.iqaluit.nu.ca or call 867-979-5663.

The deadline for submitting an expression of interest is May 24, 2019.
