Convicted offender apologizes

By NUNATSIAQ NEWS

I am writing this letter to apologize to everyone that I have hurt, stole from, cheated, robbed.

This is my attempt to better myself as an individual, also as a parent.

I want to be an example for the people that believe that people can’t change.

The very first step for me is to lead a clean sober life.

It would be so easy for me to pick up the bottle or puff that joint to rid the feelings inside, but for me personally it has caused more problems.

I am sick of living like this.

I am a good person no matter what anyone says.

I just have to learn how to be a more social person and need people like myself for a social system when we are most in need of help.

I wish the best for everyone trying to make changes in their life for the better.

(I am currently serving a 13-month sentence in the Ottawa Carleton Detention Centre for armed robbery.)
