Goose hunting in full swing in Nunavik
Tom Whiteley, left, Lukasi Tukkiapik, David Pearson and Jeffrey Saunders Pearson (lying down in front) pose May 11 with their harvest from a recent hunting trip near Kuujjuaq. The group went on a four-day trek to a secret family location and came back with 71 geese. They handed most of them to people in in the community. (Photo courtesy of David Pearson)

YEP, LOTS OF GUYS MISSING WORK IN YVP !!
Yip…. Working all year for the vacation pays off this time of year.
Off topic here, but, why don’t you guys make sanikiluaq part of nunavik? And fir sani people, my question is why don’t you all Relocate to other communities on mainland? The island is not giving you drinking water.
Northerner, you might want to do a little research on the history of the Sanikiluaq people. After you read up on it, you will understand why.
I have a video of a blackbilled magpie perched on top of the telephone pole here in baker lake nu. It’s the first time I’ve seen a magpie this far north.
