Kitikmeot teacher honoured

The Nunavut Sivuniksavut program has awarded this year’s Nunavut Sivuniksavut Award for Excellence in Education to Millie Kuliktana of Kugluktuk for her life-long dedication to Inuinnaqtun.

Kuliktana has worked as an elementary and high school teacher in Kugluktuk, and as a school principal in Igloolik.

She now works as a executive director of Kitikmeot School Operations in Kugluktuk.
