Man reported missing in Iqaluit located, being held in custody police say
RCMP had sought public’s assistance in finding 27-year-old
RCMP say a man reported missing Monday after not returning to the Uttaqivik Community Residential Centre in Iqaluit has been found and is in custody.
The 27-year-old man was reported missing after not returning to the centre by 10 p.m. that night, police said in asking for the public’s help in locating him.
We are Inuk.
Absolutely correct – except for those of us who aren’t.
Inuk means person so therefore technically you are an Inuk.
Technically, I decide my identity and no one else. I reject the term Inuk, as is my right.
I prefer slofflegabber as my preferred noun.
Technically Inuk means human, back in the day when people used to have encounters with spirit beings, thats how they distinguished people from other beings, be it spirits or animals
We (a group of people) are Inuk (an individual person)
And I don’t even speak the language.
Inuit = a group of people.
Inuk = an individual person.
If this guys is now in police custody that means that he as “at large” and NOT “missing”.
exactly.
if he was being searched for from a facility or minimum security home.
he was not being searched for. he was a wanted man.
there is a big difference there guys.
What if he was on intermittent jail time meaning he was to report on weekends but released from jail on weekdays.
Who knows, you guys just straight assume things like any reporters.
“HE’s at large!”
everyone I mean including me should really think twice before we say ANYTHING we are as community aren’t supportive anymore. it is always pointing, pointing, pointing….. towards negative, you wonder why so many people aren’t living up to the society anymore.
