A flag-raising ceremony with the flags of Canada, Norway, Nunavut and Gjoa Haven took place Aug. 23 in Gjoa Haven, with the Amundsen cairn and the community in the background, took place Aug. 23 as part of the welcoming ceremonies for an exhibit on the Norwegian polar explorer, Roald Amundsen.
