Photo: Meet Iqaluit’s newest reporter

Jason Slater, a Grade 10 student in Kim Masson’s social studies class at Iqaluit’s Inuksuk High School, worked as a reporter when his class held mock elections earlier in the school year. He and other classmates displayed their project Jan. 21 at an event called A Celebration of Learning. Grade 9 students put together projects for a heritage fair, while students in other grades displayed a variety of social studies projects covering topics such as their favourite hockey stars, same-sex rights, the High Arctic relocations, Project Surname, and the Newfoundland dialect.
