What the heck is this? Well, it’s a cake featuring a frosted replica of the lander that brought astronauts down to the moon on July 20, 1969. Members of the Haughton Mars project on Devon Island baked it to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing. This summer scientists and wannabe Mars astronauts have been at the edge of the Haughton Crater, testing out everything from space suits to medical equipment.
