Thankful for Harper’s column

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Nunatsiaq News and Kenn Harper on their continuing contribution to Inuit culture and history.

Mr. Harper brings us articles about people whom we would never hear of otherwise. It is one of the features of Nunatsiaq News that I look forward to reading.

I know that some people have trouble accepting that a white man would persume to speak for Inuit or to present Inuit history for them. It’s a good point and but with the global accessibility of the Internet there is no reason for individuals to take corrective measures.

That however is beside the point. I still appreciate the Taisummani historical column and the research Mr. Harper does. Not only does, but gives to the readers of Nunatsiaq News.
