With blizzard and whiteout conditions along Ungava Bay, dog teams travelled to reach Aupaluk, although the race was officially suspended for the day. When Tasiujaq mushers Billy Cain and his son Charlie hadn't arrived by the end of the day, a search and rescue team set out to locate them. Ivakkak race marshall Johnny Oovaut said the father and son were found early April 7. The race is scheduled to resume April 7, leaving from Aupaluk. (PHOTO BY PIERRE DUNNIGAN/IVAKKAK)
