A youngster works on a piece of soapstone Aug. 7 at Montreal's Cabot Square, located at the corner of Ste-Catherine Street West and Atwater Avenue. Inuit youth at risk have been leading carving workshops at the park this summer, coordinated through Projet Autochtone du Quebec and the Native Friendship Centre of Montreal, and funded by Makivik Corp. The workshops fall under the newly-launched Cabot Square Project, which offers services and programming for the well-being of urban Aboriginal and Inuit residents.
