Nunavut RCMP investigates early morning death in Rankin Inlet

30-year-old man died overnight of undisclosed injuries

RCMP in Rankin Inlet are investigating the early morning death of a local man.

On May 8 at 11:30 p.m., police and first responders were called to aid a 30-year-old man described as being in “medical distress.”

The man, who has not been identified, died early May 9, the RCMP said in a news release.

RCMP won’t say if they’ve made any arrests related to the death, although its V Division Forensic Identification and Major Crime Units are each investigating.
