Asenath Qamaniq, 32, was last in contact with someone in late August
Ottawa police are asking for the public’s help to locate a Nunavut woman who was last seen in the city nearly two months ago.
Asenath Qamaniq, 32, was last confirmed to be in contact with someone on Aug. 28. She is described as Indigenous, with a petite build, brown eyes, and short, dark hair.
“Loved ones and police are concerned for her safety and well-being,” said Const. Fern John-Simon of the Ottawa Police Service, who was unable to confirm Qamaniq’s home community in Nunavut.
“It is unclear exactly when she went missing from the Ottawa area,” John-Simon said.
Ottawa police ask anyone who has seen Qamaniq or has information about her whereabouts since August to contact investigators at 613-236-1222, ext. 7300.
