Photo: Welcome to Cambridge Bay, new wall-hanging says

Elders in Cambridge Bay stand next to a wall-hanging in the Luke Novoligak Cummunity Hall Feb. 7. The wall-hanging, which is now on display at the hall, is a project of the Kitikmeot Historical Society. The colourful wall-hanging features people in traditional Innuinait parkas, an igloo and some of the abundant wildlife found in and around the community. There’s also a message in Innuinaqtun that says: “welcome to Cambridge Bay.” Many visitors will be in Cambridge Bay this week for the Kitikmeot Trade Show which gets underway Feb. 12 in the Kiilinik High School.
