Iqaluit City Hall shuts down due to HVAC issues

Iqaluit’s City Hall closed early on Friday.
While the city’s other facilities and services remained open and continued to operate as usual, city hall closed at 3:30 p.m., due to issues in the building’s heating, ventilation and air conditioning system, according to an Iqaluit public service announcement published Friday afternoon.
It’s unclear how long city hall will remain closed for or what the specific HVAC issues were.
Iqaluit spokesperson Geoff Byrne could not be reached for comment.
