A nine-year-old boy who was reported missing in Pangnirtung has been found dead, the RCMP says.
The boy was reported missing by his family Monday night after he was last seen in the hamlet Sunday around 8 p.m., according to an RCMP news release.
Police issued a public request Tuesday morning for help locating the boy. Later that afternoon, they reported the boy had been found dead.
The investigation will continue in collaboration with the coroner’s office Office RCMP said. No further information will be provided Tuesday, police said.
