Craig Simailak opens Nunavut Trade Show with call to seize opportunity
Business conference runs through Thursday

Nunavut is looking for better co-operation with southern governments and businesses, as it prepares to bolster economic activity, says a territorial leader.
Community and Government Services Minister Craig Simailak made the comments Monday morning at the opening of the Nunavut Trade Show.
“Canada is paying great attention to the North,” he said at the Aqsarniit Hotel in Iqaluit. “How do we prepare for opportunities?”
In its 33rd year, the Nunavut Trade Show is hosting 106 exhibitors and 340 attendees. The event is running from Monday to Thursday and contains conference programming, a trade show and networking events.
The conference portion will take place at the hotel, while the trade show will take place at the Arctic Winter Games Arena.
The trade show is open to the public Thursday.
The four-day event will end on Thursday with a presentation for the Business Achievement Awards during the closing banquet at the hotel.
