MacKay’s visit is part of a nation-wide tour to talk about the creation of a victims’ bill of rights. “We’re well beyond the midway point of this information gathering,” MacKay said before the closed meeting began. “We hope to be able to respond with a bill of rights that will give victims of crime a reference point, and a sense of confidence and inclusion where they can say these rights have to be respected.” Read more about the meeting later on Nunatsiaqonline.ca.
