Photo: Inuit Raven stories at the NAC

“Tulugak: Inuit Raven Stories,” directed and written by Sylvia Cloutier, will take the stage May 4, 2013 in Ottawa as part of the National Arts Centre’s Family Series and Northern Scenes festival. Every other year the NAC presents a festival showcasing musical, theatrical, and artistic talents of different regions of Canada. NAC English Theatre artistic director Peter Hinton, who announced the season March 20, programmed the NAC 2012-2013 season with plays by women. “Tulugak,” which features Inuit artists from Greenland, Nunavik and Nunavut, premiered at last summer’s Alianait arts festival in Iqaluit.
