Violence against women: enough is enough

I was very impressed with the leadership which the Hamlet of Pangnirtung mayor and council took to support zero tolerance against violence.

Violence against others must never be tolerated or supported through silence and inaction.

Adamee Komoartok must be commended for showing strength, resilience and courage in having submitted his resignation as MLA.

I hope that he will receive the support and encouragement necessary to make needed change to behaviour that led to this tragic situation.

May others have strength to rise against abuse and violence of any kind towards others.
