Workers put up the big top tent in front of Iqaluit's Nakasuk school June 27 under sunny skies in preparation for the Alianait Arts Festival, which kicks off July 30. The big top will feature square dances, children's activities and a battle of the bands July 1, 2 and 3, while the festival's mainstage at Nakasuk school will host performers like Greenland's Angu, Canadian folk band, The Good Lovelies, and Nunavut accordion player Simeonie Keenainak.
