Taima up for awards
Taima, the duo of Elisapie Isaac and Alain Auger, is going from success to success, with a crop of new nominations for their recently released CD of the same name.
On Oct. 21 in Toronto Taima is up for the songwriter of the year award at the Urban Music Awards.
Then, on Oct. 25 in Montreal, Quebec’s French-language music industry association, known by its acronym ADISQ, holds its gala. ADISQ has nominated Isaac, Auger and Taima for the annual award that goes to the top recording artist in a language other than French — an award that was won in the past by Céline Dion.
And on Nov. 26, at the Aboriginal Music Awards in Toronto, Taima could win in three categories: best folk album, best album design and best album of the year.
