Nunavut police have arrested and charged a man with discharging his weapon into a residence where people were at home.
On Friday, March 8, RCMP officers in Pangnirtung responded to a firearms call, where a male suspect had discharged several rounds into an occupied home.
No one was injured in the shooting, RCMP said in a March 8 release, though there was damage to the home.
The shooter fled the scene but was later picked up by police and arrested without incident.
Sheema Nowdlak, 22, faces five charges, including attempted murder and discharging a firearm in a reckless manner.
Nowdlak remains in custody and will appear in court in Iqaluit on March 19.
