Inuk named as Royal Canadian Geographical Society explorer-in-residence

Actor and Inuit games athlete Johnny Issaluk has been named as an explorer-in-residence with the Royal Canadian Geographical Society. He’s seen here, second from right, standing with Arctic adventurer Adam Shoalts, storm chaser George Kourounis, and the world’s foremost female cave diver, Jill Heinerth, during a May 15 ceremony. Wow! How did Johnny Issaluk get there? I mean, just look at the people beside Johnny who went great strengths to be a member of a prestigious organization. What was the achievement? How did he earned the hard to get certificate? Did the society welcome him just because he is a Inuk poster boy? I highly regarded the society until now. And I am an Inuk too, but I certainly would want to earn the highly coveted membership.
