That’s one of only a few images of spirt of Christmas in kuujjuaq. There were dances and a few nice games too. But most of the celebrations were very materialistic. With guessing games with an emptiness, giving away money to the try again contestants. Not as many intoxicated callers to the fm this year, but some managed to get on air. With kids listening to the games, then had to endure a speech by the drunk, crying. It’s not nice. But most were cut off. But the spirit of Christmas now has too much material, instead of a focus on the real meaning.

It’s over people, Santa has gone back to the North Pole, and the real life of 2020 has begun. There’s too much well wishes of merry Christmas and happy new year in such a short period of time. Done just express the joy of living for those 12 days! Make it your life year round. Start treating your family, your kids especially, and your community with love and joy, not just Christmas. Get up every morning and express your love. Oh, this wishes of merry Christmas and happy new year is way out of proportion. Spread it out over the year instead. Oh oh oh. It’s me.
