Nunavut opens nominations for rep on Eeyou Marine Region Wildlife Board
Those familiar with wildlife management in the region encouraged to apply

The Government of Nunavut is looking for someone to fill its seat on the Eeyou Marine Region Wildlife Board and encourages anyone familiar with wildlife management in the area to apply.
The Eeyou Marine Region, which stretches from the bottom of eastern James Bay north towards Umiujaq, Quebec, is part of a land claim agreement signed by the Cree of Eeyou in 2010. Because of the overlapping interests of Cree and Inuit in the area, the Government of Nunavut has representation on co-management bodies created by the agreement.
According to a government news release, “the board is the main instrument of wildlife management and regulator of access to wildlife in the Eeyou Marine Region” and is responsible for establishing harvest levels, managing the wildlife research fund and collaborating with other wildlife management institutions.
