1 dead, 2 injured in Sanikiluaq ATV incident

Man dies shortly after arriving at health centre; 2 others transferred to Winnipeg

One man is dead and two others have been medevaced to Winnipeg after what police are describing as an “ATV incident” in Sanikiluaq.

Police responded to reports of the incident on July 16 at around 9 p.m., according to a news release from the RCMP, sent out Monday.

With the assistance of bystanders, the men, who are all in their 20s, were taken to the local health centre, police said.

One died shortly after.

Police say they are investigating.

    Woundn t it be faster to medivac people from there to Val dor in a emergency . it s closer then Winnipeg

      As if it’s easy, as if the government Canada would allow that, as if Quebec would accept people from sanikiluaq, makes me wonder why people expect us to do what other people wants us to do.
