This white beluga frolicked in front of Tasiujaq earlier this month. Children who came down to see the young whale, which had been drawn to shore by Leaf Bay’s huge tides. Local hunters left the beluga alone, conscious that the beluga hunt in Ungava Bay was already closed, and the beluga eventually swam off.(PHOTO COURTESY OF CRAIG LINGARD)
