Cambridge Bay won’t need to hold any municipal elections in December to fill four vacant positions on its municipal council.
That’s because the four candidates who put their names forward to run in the Dec. 13 election have been acclaimed.
The election of Jessie Lyall, Tara Rutherford, Shane Sather and Kam So was acclaimed as per Section 42 of the Local Authorities Elections
Act, the hamlet’s returning officer Megan Livingston said in a Nov.16 release.
