2 men charged after male medevaced with ‘severe head injuries’
RCMP responded to reports of an assault in progress on Sept. 11 in Baker Lake

Two men have been charged with aggravated assault following an incident in Baker Lake on Sept. 11.
RCMP said in a news release Tuesday that officers responded to reports of an assault outside a home in the community at around 10:15 p.m. that day.
“A large group of people were in the area at the time and RCMP located one male with severe head injuries laying on the ground,” said RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Tammy Keller in the release.
The injured male was medevaced to Winnipeg.
A 24-year-old man was arrested and has been released with conditions. He is scheduled to appear in court in Baker Lake on Nov. 28.
A 45-year-old man remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in court in Iqaluit on Oct. 23.
Can we guess alcohol was involved here. Hope the man will be ok.
