Police arrest drunken man carrying gun in Pond Inlet
Man, 21, faces numerous firearms charges
A Pond Inlet man will appear in court May 10, following a firearms-related incident in the community.
On April 18 in Pond Inlet, police received a complaint of an intoxicated male with a firearm in his possession outside a residence in the hamlet and then arrested the man.
After a show cause hearing held before a Justice of the Peace April 22 in Pond Inlet, Jobie Kadloo, 21, was remanded into custody, an April 27 RCMP news release said.
Kadloo has been charged with a variety of Criminal Code offences, including possession of a firearm while prohibited and possession of ammunition while prohibited, resisting arrest, disturbing the peace, and breach of probation.
Kadloo will appear before the Nunavut Court of Justice on May 10 in Pond Inlet.
