Fire destroys four Iqaluit beach shacks
Police continue to investigate cause of July 24 blaze
Police are seeking information from the public which could help them determine how four shacks along Iqaluit’s beach caught fire July 24.
At about 3:00 a.m. on July 24, the Iqaluit fire department responded to a call about a fire that had destroyed four shacks on the beach behind the elders centre in Iqaluit.
Firefighters were able to keep the fire from spreading to other shacks on the beach.
The Iqaluit RCMP are currently investigating the cause of the fire, said a news release issued July 28
No one was injured.
