Gun shot alarms Repulse Bay

At about 1:45 p.m., members of the Repulse Bay RCMP received a request to check on the well-being of a local resident, said a March 31 news release.

As they entered the dwelling, RCMP members heard a single gun shot from inside.

The police then took cover, and warned and secured the neighboring school and homes for their safety, the news release said.

“Further investigation revealed that a 50-year-old adult male of Repulse Bay was found deceased inside the residence,”

Police suspect no foul play.
