Woman, 26, dies, four injured in Cape Dorset ATV accident
Out-of-control all-terrain vehicle ejected driver and five passengers, police said
A 26-year-old Cape Dorset woman is dead after the all-terrain vehicle she and others were riding on lost control over the weekend, the Nunavut RCMP said Sept. 15.
Four other passengers, three adults and a youth, were airlifted out of the community to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
The 26-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Alcohol “is believed to be a factor,” police said.
