Canadian North introduces Inuktitut website, telephone services
“Much of our business comes from communities where Inuktitut is the language”
Canadian North said Oct. 27 that it’s now offering full services in Inuktitut: online and on the telephone.
The airline’s new Inuktitut website contains the same information and updates as the English-language website, a company news release said.
The website allows users to book travel, change an existing reservation, see how many flights are needed to achieve “Aurora Concierge” status and check how many Aeroplan reward miles can be earned when flying.
The website also provides information on how to ship country foods to other communities served by Canadian North.
“Much of our business comes from communities where Inuktitut is the language predominately spoken. We are happy to offer these new services to our customers in these communities,” said Lorraine Bonner, the airline’s vice-president for scheduled services.
