You can now find climate change information, data, educational resources and adaptation toolkits on the Nunavut Climate Change Centre website, launched April 27.

The website includes materials in Inuktitut, English and French, with interactive elements, such as a section in the “Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit of Climate Change” menu where people in Nunavut can contribute information about climate change.

“Having the ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment has been a strength of Nunavummiut for millennia,” said James Arreak, Nunavut’s environment minister, in an April 27 news release from the Government of Nunavut. “We are pleased to provide this resource to communities and hope they will use the information and promote climate change awareness within their own communities, and nationally and internationally.”
