Snow and 90-kilometre winds shut down power in Iqaluit in the early hours of Oct. 8. Schools in the community are closed today, as well as schools in Pangnirtung and Cape Dorset, including Nunavut Arctic College campuses. It’s not clear which Nunavut and federal government offices are open this morning — we advise workers to contact their employers for information.
