Katannilik park trail unsafe for snowmobiles: GN

Nunavut Territorial Parks is advising residents and visitors to Katannilik Territorial Park that snowmobile trail conditions along the Itijjagiaq Trail, between Mount Joy and Kimmirut, have deteriorated, a Government of Nunavut news release said May 1.

Users of the trail are being told to stop travelling by snowmobile along the Soper River valley.

Nunavut Parks also reminded users to travel safely and to carry the proper emergency gear when heading out on the land, the release said.
