Iqaluit man accused of sex offences against children, youth pleads not guilty
Codie Rennie, 21, will be back in court in Iqaluit May 24
A 21-year Iqaluit man pleaded not guilty before Justice Robert Kilpatrick in the Nunavut Court of Justice April 2 on 15 charges related to sex offences against children and youth, including procuring.
Codie Rennie faces the following charges:
• Three counts of sexual assault under section 271 of the Criminal Code;
• Three counts of sexual interference under section 151;
• Three counts of invitation to sexual touching under section 152;
• Two counts of committing an indecent act under section 173 (2);
• Three counts of procuring a person to have sexual intercourse under section 212 (1) (a); and
• One count of procuring sexual intercourse by administering a drug under section 212 (i).
Rennie will appear again in court May 24.
