No foul play in death of Pangnirtung man: RCMP
The man in his 60s had been fishing in Cumberland Sound
A Pangnirtung man, who was fishing in Cumberland Sound, appears to have died of natural causes, police say.
An RCMP statement said March 26 that “no foul play is suspected’ in connection with the death of man, who was in his 60s.
Members of the Pangnirtung RCMP detachment received a call March 25 about a local resident who had died while fishing in Cumberland Sound.
The local Search and Rescue team assisted the RCMP in recovering the body of the man.
The cause of his death is believed to be due to natural causes, police said.
The RCMP did not release the identity of the man, pending the notification of all his family members.
